Paxton Pulford

Paxton is another one of our up and coming trainers. He grew up in the Hunter Valley NSW, near Scone ‘The Horse Capital of Australia’ and throughout his life he has always been surrounded with horses, exposed to many disciplines as a kid such as Australian Stock Horses events, dressage, eventing, poll, pony club, campdrafting and challenging.
Paxton attended boarding school where he had some time away from horses and took up rowing and considered doing it full time. After school Paxton went up to the NT for 2 years, followed by university studying a degree in business and continued working as an Agriculture Consultant for a year. Paxton has recently come back from the USA where he spent time with Hayden Upton and now been with CTO trainer Mark Buttsworth for year where he says ‘he will be for a long time’.
Paxton now competes in cutting, camp drafting and cow horse events and throughout his videos he demonstrates how important his fundamental exercises are to develop a cow/horse relationship. Paxton is always on the hunt for more knowledge and he found himself competing in reined cow horse with success and also cutting where he won the 2023 National Snafflebit Futurity Champions and Reserve Champion, also with multiple placings.
